I was born in Brooklyn, New York raised on a rhythm of Caribbean beats, big dreams and the bold energy that only Brooklyn can bring. But deep down, I always felt a call that went beyond city streets and subway lines. A call to something ancestral. Something real.
My Story
That call led me to Limon, Costa Rica; my parent's birthplace, my family’s homeland and the root of so much that lives in me. This isn’t just a move. This is a return. A reclamation. A reconnection with the land, the culture, and the Black Caribbean identity that’s too often erased from travel brochures.
Pura Vibra isn’t just a travel brand. It’s a movement to amplify Afro-Caribbean voices, traditions, and stories that deserve to be centered, celebrated, and sustained. Through curated experiences, I take travelers beyond the tourist traps and into the soul of Costa Rica; Black sand beaches, Bribri waterfalls, cacao farms, herbal medicine and everyday Black excellence. This journey is personal. It’s ancestral. It’s cultural. It’s about building bridges between people, between places, between past and future.
